Tributes were paid to the mother of two, Imelda Quinn, who died following a crash on the M1 in County Tyrone on Monday.

Ms Quinn, who was from the village of Galbally, died following the crash between Junction 15 at Dungannon and Junction 14 at Tamnamore on the motorway.

A notice from the woman’s funeral said she was Gavin’s “deeply loved” wife, Nina and Norah’s “most cherished mother”, Cormac and Anne’s “dearly beloved daughter”, Fergal’s “cherished sister”, Angela (Morgan) and Cormac Og and sister-in-law to Mari, Colin and Seline.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later, it confirmed.

Sinn Fein MLA Declan McAleer sent his condolences to Ms Quinn’s family.

“Absolutely awful news. Poor Imelda. Thoughts and prayers for her family at this desperately sad time,” he posted on social media.

Her family and friends also took to social media to pay tribute to her mother.

Julie Hazelton added: “Devastating news praying for Imelda’s husband, wee girls and her entire family. Such a lovely girl,” reports Independent.

TrafficwatchNI has confirmed that the motorway between Junction 15 and Junction 14 has reopened following the crash.

The accident happened just before 3.30pm on Monday on Dungannon Road in Cookstown.

Another 20-year-old woman and four children, who are hospitalised, were also injured in the clash.
