Met Eireann is today saying that cold conditions are likely to return in the early days of 2023.
According to the national forecaster, the run-up to New Year’s Eve will be rather wet and windy at times, with daytime temperatures barely reaching double digits.
Today, Wednesday, is expected to be a dull, wet day, with heavy showers in places and the possibility of thunderstorms in the evening.
This unsettled pattern is likely to remain throughout the weekend, with early indications showing colder conditions arriving by then.
