Tribute have poured in for footballer Emiliano Sala after he has tragically been confirmed dead after police announced that it was his body that was recovered from the plane wreckage.
The footballer was due to start a new career in Cardiff but tragically that will never be the case now as the worst case scenario has come to pass and his body has been found .
It’s understood that the young man’s family have been informed and that they’re making their way to the UK. The private search team who found the wreckage after a search was called off when nothing was found have been applauded for continuing their efforts.
Tributes have been paid from around the Sporting world and beyond for the young man and his pilot friend who both went missing after that fateful crash on January 21st.
Efforts will now be made to try and recover the pilot’s body from the wreckage if indeed it’s still there.
