In a truly remarkable story a bunch of truckers have been praised after they aided the police as they attempted to talk a suicidal man down from a motorway fly over.
The bizare incident which occurred in Detroit in the early hours of Tuesday morning, has become a viral sensation in the past 48 hours, after the men agreed to stop and help local law enforcement officers.
In the incident which occurred on interstate 696, the willing truckers drivers decided to help officers by parking their trucks under the long fly over in an attempt to break the man’s probable fall.
Although police managed to talk the suicidal man down from the fly over in Huntington Woods, following a three hour standoff and negotiation process.
The gracious truckers have been praised for their actions as they parked tightly and neatly to limit the man’s potential fall to just six feet after officers asked them to drive ahead on the closed motorway.
Although thankfully no one was injured in the incident, police have said the truckers actions are not uncommon in the US as law enforcement have often enlisted the help of truck drivers in such drastic situations.
