Days before his first, and probably last, debate with Kamala Harris, former US President Donald Trump campaigned in a firmly Republican portion of battleground state Wisconsin, airing well-known grievances about everything from his indictments to attempts to keep him off the ballot, reports Breaking News.
“The Harris-Biden DoJ (Department of Justice) is trying to throw me in jail – they want me in jail – for the crime of exposing their corruption,” said Mr. Trump during an outdoor event at Central Wisconsin Airport.
There is no proof that Vice President Ms. Harris or President Biden influenced the Justice Department’s or local authorities’ decisions to charge Mr. Trump with a crime, reports Breaking News.
Speaking a day after appearing in court to file an appeal against a ruling holding him accountable for sexual assault, the former president brought up his numerous indictments and criminal convictions.
Following his appearance, Mr. Trump gave a lengthy speech to the media in which he discussed several previous accusations of alleged sexual misbehaviour, occasionally using harsh language. This might have reminded voters of lesser-known or forgotten events, reports Breaking News.
Shortly afterward, a Manhattan court declared that the presidential candidate’s sentence in the hush money case would be delayed until after the November election, giving him a much-needed respite.
Prior to the election, on September 18, or almost seven weeks beforehand, the sentence was set for that day, reports Breaking News.
