Twelve Israeli teenagers appear before court after being accused of gang-raping a young British woman in an alleged hour long attack




Twelve Israeli males have appeared before a court in Cyprus, after being accused of gang-raping a 19-year-old British woman at a hotel.

According to The Mirror newspaper, the twelve accused all aged between 16 and 18 have been remanded in custody following the alleged attack.

It is reported that the young woman was raped by the men at a hotel in Ayia Napa, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Reports in Cyprus, state that the woman alleges that she was attacked by the men after she agreed to go back to a hotel room with one of the accused who she had met previously.

The young woman who has since undergone a medical examination claims that 11 men entered the room and took turns raping in a terrifying that allegedly lasted for over an hour.

Meanwhile authorities have confirmed that medical examiners have found marks and bruising on the woman’s legs following the report.

Although all twelve have denied the accusation, a judge has ruled that all twelve suspects be remanded on the island for a period of eight days.

However the accused men claim that the woman is lying and was encouraged to contact police by a fellow British tourist.

They also claim that they have been attacked by British holidaymakers and some had their noses broken by police following the alleged incident.
