A social media feud has broken out between British government ministers and ice cream company Ben and Jerry’s after the company waded into UK politics, condemning the Home Secretary’s call for migrant boats illegally crossing the English Channel to be halted.

The UK branch of the American ice cream company felt it appropriate to propel itself into British politics when it hit out at the UK Home Secretary Priti Pat for “lack of humanity for people fleeing war, climate change and torture”.

The company did not specify what war, climate change or torture the migrants crossing the English Channel from France to the UK were fleeing as the country is currently at peace and not experiencing any catastrophic global warming catastrophe.

Sources close to Home Secretary Patel have branded Ben & Jerry’s “overpriced junk food” according to the Daily Mail.

The company has heavily interjected into political debates for several years pushing liberal and progressive talking points on issues such as global warming, open borders and US President Donald Trump.
