Gardaí in Co Kildare have confirmed that they have arrested two men in connection with the murder of David Boland who was killed in Athy on Thursday morning .
The arrests come after Mr Boland 34, was stabbed multiple times on Duke Street in the town at approximately 5:30am Thursday morning.
In a brief announcement Gardaí confirmed a man aged in his mid 20s was arrested on Friday and he is being held at Naas Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
They also say say another man aged in his late 20s was arrested and is currently being detained at Kildare Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
