In a shocking event that shows how frightened people are of the disease that is sweeping through China, two children were left behind in an airport by their parents when the boy was found to be ill.
According to the Daily Mail, the couple’s son and daughter were left at the departure gate because their boy had a fever and could not fly. The virus, which gives sufferers a cough, fever and difficulty breathing, is said to have killed somewhere in the region of 26 people already and there are ongoing attempts to contain it as much as possible so as to prevent it spreading to other parts of the world.
The Daily Mail reports that the boy was eventually allowed to board the plane, which was two hours late due to the difficult situation. Even so, other passengers on the plane were said to be unhappy to be on the same plane.
In a frightening development, the virus is now thought to be more easily spread than anyone had thought. It is now said to be possible to become infected with just a sneeze or cough. This news will no doubt cause even more fear among people and it will be more essential than ever for the authorities to work to ensure it does not get out of control.
