Gardaí have confirmed that two men have been charged following the seizure of loaded firearm on Tuesday.
It is understood the charges come after Gardai seized the firearm believed to be a semi-automatic Makarov handgun during a search.
The arrests were made as part of an investigation into organised criminal activity in the Blanchardstown and Finglas areas.
