Two men have been taken into custody after a man sustained serious injuries in an assault in Co Tipperary.
The attack occurred in Knockane at approximately 9pm last night, reports RTE.
The injured man, who is in his 40s, received medical attention at the scene before being transferred to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.
The two detained men, both in their 20s, are currently being held at a Garda station in Co Tipperary, reports RTE.
Gardaà have stated that the investigation remains ongoing, reports RTE.
