Two men were knocked unconscious by women in Dublin in separate attacks an hour apart

Gardaí are investigating another attack on a foreign tourist after he was knocked down and robbed by two women – who an hour later did the exact same thing to another man, reports The Mirror.

The Irish Mirror has learned that a London man was injured in an attack in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Sources tell us the same two women are suspected of an identical attack on another man – 60 minutes later.

“They went on a bit of a rampage,” a source said, reports The Mirror.

We established that an English tourist was attacked by two women when one of them approached him and asked for directions.

A 22-year-old man was attacked and robbed – and seriously injured – just a week after the brutal attack on American tourist Stephen Termini.

It comes less than 48 hours after Justice Minister Helen McEntee announced an extra €10 million for the Gardaí to increase patrols in the city.

The attack on Mr Termini, of Buffalo, New York, took place on July 19 on Talbot Street in Dublin’s north city centre – but the attack on an English tourist took place in the south of the city.

The victim, who was not seriously injured, was attacked while walking on Camden Place, approximately 250 meters from St Stephen’s Green, at 1 am.

Sources say that women asked him for directions and one of them stole his mobile phone from his pocket, reports The Mirror.

When he tried to take it back, the woman punched him in the face and knocked him out.

When he came to, he was lying on the ground and the phone and chain around his neck were gone – as were his attackers.

The victim later reported the attack to Pearse Street police, who are now looking for the two assailants.

A garda spokeswoman confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.

She said: “Gardaí are investigating a robbery and assault that occurred in Camden Place, Dublin 2 in the early hours of Sunday morning, 30th July 2023. A male (aged in his 20s) was assaulted by two suspects. Personal items were also taken from the injured male during the course of the assault. His injuries are understood to be non-life threatening. Investigations are ongoing at this time,” reports The Mirror.
