A court in Pakistan have sentenced to men to death after they were found guilty of gang rape, robbery, kidnapping and terrorism offences.
According to Metro.co.uk, the two men were found guilty of the horrific crime which occurred in September last year.
It is understood that the two men broke into the woman’s car as she sat on the side of the motorway waiting for help after she ran out of fuel.
The two men who were later found via mobile phone data, are believed to have held the woman at gunpoint before carrying out the brutal and sickening attack.
They are also believed to have robbed a number of items including money, bank cards and jewellery before fleeing the scene.
Both men named as Abid Malhi and Shafqat Hussain were sentenced to death at a court in Lahore.
The case had led to widespread public outcry which included Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan, who said convicted rapists should be surgically castrated or sentenced to death.
