Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation this afternoon after two people were taken to hospital in a critical condition after a shooting incident in Ballymun.
According to reports it is believed the man and woman were shot outside a house on Balbutcher Drive at approximately 4pm.
Gardaí say both individuals are critical condition in hospital.
The area has since been sealed off and gardaí are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to contact Ballymun Garda Station or any garda station
