Two people who were out for “unnecessary” means in Northern Ireland get slapped with £60 fine each

The PSNI have confirmed that two people who were out for unnecessary means were caught by police and slapped with a £60 fine each.

The heavy fines came after the UK government announced that people would start getting fined and even arrested if they were found to be away from their house for any reason other than close proximity exercise, the supermarket, pharmacy, essential work or a medical appointment.

It’s understood that the two people were some twenty miles away from their home when they stopped by police.
