The bodies of two young men who died in an overnight car crash on the N22 were discovered by a passing motorist earlier today.
The accident happened just outside Glenflesk village, on the Killarney side, at some point during the night. The vehicle appeared to have exited the road and crashed in a ditch, but in such a manner that the wreckage became concealed. A passing motorist just happened to spot it and raised the alarm.
The bodies of two men in their 20s were discovered inside the vehicle. They were removed to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee for a post mortem examination.
The road is currently closed for a technical examination, and local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for motorists who may have been driving on the same stretch of road to come forward.
