Two Ryanair planes clipped each other’s wings in Dublin airport this morning




Two Ryanair planes knocked into each other this morning with one plane losing part of its wing as a result.

The incident which happened at approximately 6.45am, saw both planes full of passengers.

One of the passengers on board one of the flights told Morning Ireland what had happened.
“It wasn’t a huge impact to be honest, but you could feel the plane tug, and then we kind of just stopped,” Andrea Cunningham told RTE Radio One.

Ryanair have apologised for any inconvenience caused. “The winglet of one aircraft appears to have scraped the tail of the other, there was no impact on customers on board”.

Dublin airport have stated that some short delays may occur for the rest of the day, but the airport is functioning properly.
