The conviction of two 15-year-old boys for the murder of 14-year-old Ana Kriégel in Dublin last May revealed that there was still no clear explanation of what had happened.

Teenagers known as Boy A and Boy B were sentenced on May 14, 2018 for the murder of Ana on an abandoned farm.

Child A was convicted of aggravated sexual assault.

The children were not sentenced to life imprisonment for murder.

Instead, they were sent back to the Oberstown Detention Center for reporting.

According to RTE News, the court heard that child A now accepts that he caused the student’s death, but still denies having sexually assaulted her.

He also heard that the two boys had quarreled over most aspects of the reports submitted to health professionals during their detention.

The conviction of the two boys has been postponed to next Tuesday morning.
