Two teenagers killed in Co Kerry road crash

Two teenagers have sadly died following car crash outside Glenflesk in Co Kerry.

It is believed that the crash happened overnight but the wreckage was only discovered by a passing motorist at midday today. It is understood that 17 year Anthony Battles, and 16 year old Dillon McCarthy, died instantly when their car hit a ditch on the N22 on the Killarney side of Glenflesk village.
Gardaí closed the road off for a short period of time this afternoon as a forensic examination was carried out at the scene but it now has been confirmed that the road has re-opened.

Gardai also say that the bodies of the two young men have been removed to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee where post-mortem examinations are to be carried out either tonight or early tomorrow morning.
