Typical – Varadkar condemns beating of KBC bank security firm in Roscommon eviction

The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has condemned the beating that the KBC bank security firm received from locals who were horrified at the the fact that an elderly couple had been brutally evicted from their home just days before Christmas as gardai watched on.

It’s understood that the KBC bank employed security firm sustained a ferocious beating from up a number of men wearing balaclavas and wielding baseball bats.

One local told The Liberal that he was “delighted that the security firm had been driven away and to let them take that beating back to the back streets of east Belfast with them”.

According to RTE, the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said:
“leaving aside the reasons for the eviction, he said everyone had to condemn the use of violence and in this instance individuals being injured, an animal killed and property destroyed. He said it would seem it was a highly violent and highly organised vigilante attack.”
