UK Activists protest against Brunei’s new anti-gay laws

Gay rights activists have been thrown out of a Dorchester Hotel in the UK which is part of a franchise owned by the Sultan of Brunei after staging a protest against the country adopting Islamic Law.

Brunei has recently implemented Sharia (Islamic Law) in full which means that Homosexuals will face death by stoning for engaging in sodomy.

Other barbarous punishments will also be prescribed by law in the East Asian kingdom for adultery, blasphemy and for Muslims who leave the religion of peace.

Gay rights activists and the LGBTIQCAPGNGFNBA community in general however, have remained silent regarding recent Muslim protests at schools in Birmingham against the pro-LGBTQ+ curriculum being taught to the young children.

The Guardian reported that in 2017 a broad survey of British Muslims found that over half believe homosexuality should be criminalised while nearly a quarter want full Sharia (Islamic Law) imposed as the UK’s legal system.

At the time Trevor Phillips, the former head of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, sounded the alarm stating the findings were “extremely worrying” as they suggested on many issues Muslims were “nation within a nation”.

Homosexuality is a criminal offence in most Muslim majority countries while it carries a death sentence in several which has prompted some online to ask why these protestors are not active in demonstrating against these other Muslim countries.

Still others online have condemned who those opposed to executing gays by stoning in name of Allah of Islamophobia.
