The UK Health Security Agency has issued an amber heat alert ahead of temperatures surpassing 31C in some areas.
According to the agency, the alert covers five regions: West Midlands, East Midlands, East of England, South East, and South West.
Other less severe alerts apply to many other parts of the UK.
