The UK is taking the initiative and is ready to provide Storm Shadow long-range missiles so Ukraine can strike key Russian targets deep into enemy territory.
The specifications call for weaponry capable of striking targets up to 300km away. Such capability would enable Ukraine to neutralize troop staging areas, ammunition depots, command & control posts, and other high-value targets.
The Russian army is now on the back foot across most sectors as Ukraine has begun launching counter-offensive operations in Bakhmut and elsewhere.
Ukrainian units recently scored a major tactical victory in southwest Bakhmut after dislodging and routing an entire Russian unit, the 72nd Motorised Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Army Corps, destroying two entire companies (the 6th and the 8th) in the process and eliminating no fewer than 500 Wagner fighters.
