Authorities in the UK have confirmed that a total of 866 people have died from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
According to figures released by the NHS the deaths now brings the overall toll to 8,114.
It is believed that patients were aged between 27 to 100 years old.
The figures state that 10 deaths were reported in Northern Ireland bringing the overall total to 92.
Meanwhile a further 48 deaths were reported in Scotland bringing the overall total to 495.
Figures also showed that 29 people died in Wales bringing the total to 315.
