The UK Independence Party have rejected a letter of resignation from their leader, Nigel Farage.
The outspoken, likable politician said he wouldn’t remain as leader and would resign if he didn’t get a seat in last week’s election.
He tendered his resignation but the tables were turned, and the party told him “we’ve had a great showing this election with over 5 million votes” and subsequently declined his offer.
Farage now remains leader and will continue his battle to free the UK from what the “bureaucratic machine” which is Brussels.
