The baby girl found in Rathcoole will placed in foster care in the coming days, it has emerged today.
She remains in a stable condition in hospital, but she will likely be released once she is well enough to leave.
If she is fostered, she will be given a first name, and later on the courts will decide on a second name before the child reaches school age.
Efforts to locate the baby’s mother are continuing today.
