Bulgaria’s new pro-European Government has approved sending 100 APCs to Ukraine, giving former pro-Russian officials the proverbial two-finger salute in the process.
The country has traditionally had close ties with Moscow, but things changed for the better in mid-2022 with the toppling of the Russia-friendly Rumen Radev.
The nation’s new Parliament approved the weapons package with 148 votes to 52. Now irrelevant pro-Russian politicians clutched their pearls and cried foul, garnering nothing but pity and derision from the democratically-elected Government.
The vehicles will provide Ukraine’s newly mechanized formations with a very welcome boost.
