A surgical strike has reportedly destroyed a much-valued Russian S-400 surface-to-air missile platform in Crimea.
Post-action reports confirm that the weapon platform, sited on the Triumf missile complex in Yevpatoria in temporarily occupied in occupied Crimea, was struck by a combination of drones and missiles.
Ukrainian operators first targeted the antenna array, essentially rendering the platform blind. Once that was achieved, missiles hit and obliterated the actual launchers.
The loss of such platform is a devastating loss for the Russian command in Crimea, as it leaves a large portion of the territory vulnerable to air attack.
