Two Russian men reportedly sailed almost 300 miles to Alaska to avoid conscription.
The men used a small boat to navigate a perilous journey across the Bering Strait over freezing waters.
When picked up by local authorities in Alaska, they said that they were ‘fleeing the Russian military.’
