Ukraine has scored another major victory after a missile strike sent a Russian landing craft to the bottom of the sea.
The Novocherkassk landing ship was destroyed by what’s suspected to be a Storm Shadow weapon. The craft was struck while moored at Feodosia port in Crimea. There are reports of a large number of casualties, both dead and wounded.
The Novocherkassk was one of the few ships that had not been moved away from the Black Sea Fleet’s home port of Sevastopol, beyond the reach of Ukrainian weapons.
Russia’s navy has suffered devastating losses since the start of the ill-fated invasion of Ukraine, thanks to precision strikes enabled by West-supplied weaponry.
