The United States will provide an extra $1.1bn in military assistance for Ukraine, it has been confirmed today.
The latest aid package includes 18 additional M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) platforms and ammunition stocks.
HIMARS has proved decisive on the battlefield due to the weapon’s range and pinpoint accuracy, and has largely been credited with turning the tides in Ukraine’s favor.
