A group of heroic Ukrainian fighters completed their mission at Azovstal steelworks today, having inflicted devastating losses to the invaders.
The group withstood weeks of bombardment and repelled countless attempts to storm the facility, tying Russian units down and costing precious time to the enemy. Azovstal became a focal point of savage fighting and a key objective for the Russian military, as the Ukrainian garrison entrenched there would threaten their supply lines if not overrun.
The gallant resistance at Azovstal enabled the Ukrainian military to push the Russian army all the way back to their border and away from Kharkiv.
