Ukraine crisis: Poland national soccer team refuses to play against Russia in the World Cup over the latter’s invasion of Ukraine

Poland’s national soccer team has flatly refused to play against Russia in the World Cup over the Ukraine invasion.

The play-off match was scheduled for March, but the Polish football association has issued a statement to say that the team will not play against Russia due to the country’s aggression on Ukraine.

This decision follows the move of the Champion’s League final from St. Petersburg to Paris.
