Russia has moved to ban British flights from its airspace, following a similar move from UK’s civil aviation authority.
Yesterday, the UK issued an immediate ban for any Russia-originating flights touching down on British soil. This was part of a package of sanctions issued in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Bizarrely, Russian authorities called the flight ban ‘unfriendly’, even as tens of thousands of their troops advanced across Ukrainian territory.
