Russian President Vladimir Putin suffered a humiliation of biblical proportions, as his state-controlled TV was hacked right before his speech.
Instead of the usual propaganda being broadcast, hackers posted a strong anti-war message.
The message, written in Russian so everyone in Russia could understand, read: ‘On your hands is the blood of thousands of Ukrainians and their hundreds of murdered children. TV and the authorities are lying. No to war.”
The humiliation was even starker as today was one of Russia’s most cherished dates, Victory Day, which commemorates the defeat of the German army in the Second World War.
