Ukrainian special forces carried out a raid on a Russian installation in Crimea, it has been confirmed today.
The troops infiltrated the Saky Russian air base in the illegally annexed peninsula and planted explosives on an ammunition depot before exfiltrating unnoticed.
The team then remotely detonated the charges, causing no fewer than 12 blasts at the facility.
Locals were seen scrambling for safety as flames consumed the base.
