British sources are this evening claiming that up to 15,000 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since the start of the invasion.
The Russian army has also lost vast amounts of war material, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, helicopters, and fixed-wing jets.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military, much weaker on paper, has managed to halt Russian progress on eastern regions too, following the routing of Russian forces from northern and southern areas.
