Ukrainians slept in their car after being evicted from Dublin hotel over row about the food they were given

A row between staff and Ukrainian refugees at the Dublin hotel where they are staying have escalated to the point that three men have been evicted and were forced to sleep in their car.

It’s understood that another Ukrainian woman staying at the hotel is currently in hospital with blood pressure problems. She was hospitalized shortly after an argument with an employee of the Address Hotel in Citywest over the food supply for the refugees.

The Hotel in Citywest has hosted 140 refugees fleeing war-torn Ukraine since last July with CityWest seeing a massive row break out in recent weeks between migrants in the facility.

However, over the past few weeks there have been issues between staff and some residents over the variation and volume of food that migrants were being given.

In recent weeks, the Integration Department introduced new rules that Ukrainian refugees pay 10 euros per day for adults and 5 euros per day for children for meals in state hotels and boarding houses. It’s understood that a number of migrants are outraged at having to pay.
