Unsettled weather to continue for the next 48h, with plenty rain around the country, but better conditions predicted for the coming weekend

The current spell of unsettled weather conditions continues, with frequent, heavy showers developing across many areas. Better weather is on the way however, as temperatures of around 24-25C are predicted by Friday and into the weekend.

Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be wet and mild days, with temperatures reaching 18-19C at times.

The weather will take a turn for the better on Wednesday, as mild and dry conditions take hold. Early indications show a weekend of fine and mostly dry weather, with temperatures soaring to about 25C.
