Up to 100,000 expected to greet Pope Francis in Dublin city centre this afternoon




Pope Francis will touch down in Dublin airport this morning for the start of his Papal visit. The leader of the 1 billion-strong Roman Catholic Church, has a very busy schedule planned with one specific part being driven in his Popemobile through Dublin’s city centre this afternoon.

Up to 100,000 people are expected to line the streets this weekend to see Pope Francis, the leader of the 1-billion-strong Roman Catholic Church drive down through the city centre in his Popemobile.

The likable Pontiff will be greeted with cheers and Papal flags as he travels from the Pro Cathedral to the Capuchins centre for the homeless.

He’ll leave the Pro Cathedral at 4:15pm and drive down through O’Connell St, up past College Green onto Dame St and then down through Christ Church.

It’s looking like they’re be up to 1 million people strong out to see Pope Francis when he comes here from Saturday morning at 10am.
