Irish Water’s shambolic track record keeps on giving, as the same water treatment plant in Leixlip has once again reported issues after a bit of rain, forcing the issuing of a new boil water notice that affects around 600,000 people.
And according to the company, the notice might remain in place ‘for a number of days.’
The Leixlip Water Treatment Plant became the source of contaminated water two weeks ago, forcing an urgent notice to people across three counties. The plant, which was built over 40 years ago, supplies about 20% of Dublin’s water.
