Up to 90% of Irish medical students considering emigration after graduating

These are the shocking figures revealed today, and a damning indictment to the country’s legacy.

An NUI Galway study has found that more than a third of those queried said they were “definitely” planning to leave the country, and 50% said they were “contemplating it”.

Education Minister Jan O’Sullivan is said to be ‘concerned’  about the revelations. She added that more needs to be done to make it more attractive for Irish graduates to remain in Ireland, and that there is a particular concern for medical students.
