Up to 90% of Irish medical students considering emigration after graduating

These are the shocking figures revealed today, and a damning indictment to the country’s legacy.

An NUI Galway study has found that more than a third of those queried said they were “definitely” planning to leave the country, and 50% said they were “contemplating it”.

Education Minister Jan O’Sullivan is said to be ‘concerned’ ¬†about the revelations. She added that more needs to be done to make it more attractive for Irish graduates to remain in Ireland, and that there is a particular concern for medical students.
