Two men armed with knives have been shot dead by police after a hostage situation took place for one hour.
The men had taken several people hostage in a church in a town in France’s northern Normandy region, a police source said.
The source said between four and six people were being held by the assailants in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.
Although they’re dead, the situation is ongoing with possible other attacks imminent.
