A total of 50 people got into severe difficulty on the Mourne Mountains today after they were caught in inclement weather that came in very fast.
Emergency services are currently attending the scene, including amublance, police and the coast guard with helicopter support.
It’s understood that a total of 17 children aged between 12 and 17 years old are still stuck in the mounatainous area with hypothermia and minor bank and ankle injuries.
