Uproar as ‘An Taisce’ encourage children to reduce meat intake to stop climate change

Farmers are abstolutely raging over what’s being described as “utterly ridiculous” and a “politically correct” statement from An Taisce.

In an effort to combat what they believe to be climate change, a “climate action, teaching resource” programme has been rolled out to schools for school children.

An Taisce came out with the programme to encourage children to eat less meat and even no meat at all.

It’s a so-called green schools programme, aiming to reduce Ireland’s climate pollution footprint – it also encourages children to walk to school, something that many feel is just too dangerous to do in 2019.

The Irish farmers association have called for this document to be completely withdrawn immediately.

Minister for Environment Richard Bruton said we shouldn’t shy away from the debate, but most people it’s an absolutely ludicrous statement.
