Uproar as government spends €410 million of Irish taxpayer money on refugees and asylum seekers in just first three months of 2023

In the first three months of 2023 the government spent €410 million of Irish taxpayers money to provide accommodation and support for Ukrainian refugees and asylum seekers from elsewhere in the world.

The massive expenditure of Irish taxpayer money on Ukrainian refugees and International Protection asylum seekers is overseen directly by Minister for Children, Education Diversity, Equality and Youth, Roderick O’Gorman.

Ireland is currently in the depths of an unprecedented housing crisis with hundreds of thousands unable to purchase privately due to the inflated property bubble or languishing on social housing lists but despite this situation the government continues to welcome a never ending flow of refugees from Ukraine and other countries not currently at war such as Algeria, Nigeria and Albania.

Incredibly, as increasing numbers of Irish people become homeless and many more face the prospect of never owning their own home, something that is leading to a dramatic drop in birth rates as well and young, educated Irish people leaving the country, the government is using taxpayers money to build modular homes for refugees which Irish people will be barred from applying for.
