Uproar at Martin holding the threat of lockdown over the nation before Christmas

People are not happy with the lacklustre approach to Christmas that the government apparently have.

Many on social media have been saying that they can’t book flights or accommodation for fear that a lockdown or further restrictions will be imposed.

The Taoiseach announced that he cannot rule out restrictions or lockdowns being announced before Christmas.

Pushed on whether he’ll need to “address the nation” before Christmas, Martin said that he needs to have good discussions with NPHET

Asked about whether people should fly home for Christmas, will they be allowed home Christmas dinner, Martin said that he cannot say whether or not he’ll need to address the nation and that further restrictions and lockdowns cannot be ruled out being announced before Christmas.

Along with that, Martin said that a week is a long time in covid and that anything can happen.
