There’s been online uproar down under after an Australian politician used chose words to describe a so-called scam warning.
Marlene Kairouz is Minister for Consumer Affairs in the Parliament of Victoria. She gave a press conference to raise awareness about a campaign launched about unlicensed tradesmen.
Ms Kairouz said at the event that: “If anybody knocks on your door that has an Irish accent, automatically ask them to leave.”
There’s been a wave of criticism aimed towards Ms Kairouz over her remarks and she has been forced to issue an apology on Twitter.
