Uproar in the LGBTQI2SA+ community as pride flag gets taken down and burned in Waterford City




The LGBTQI2SA+ community in Waterford say that they’re absolutely outraged after a pride flags were taken down from The Mall in Waterford City and burned on Sunday night.

It’s understood that the gay community flags were hoisted beside the tricolour as part of the LGBTQI2SA+ community pride month in the county.

There were mixed views amongst locals seeing the LGBTQI2SA+ flags beside the Irish tricolour with some claiming on social media that they were inappropriate.

It’s obvious that someone really did think it was highly inappropriate as they took the flags down on Sunday night and set them alight, burning them to a cinder with the LGBTQI2SA+ said to be fuming at what occurred.
