Utterly disgraceful: Two patients spent THREE WEEKS on hospital trolleys

Two patients each spent three weeks on trolleys in a hospital where, according to RTÉ Prime Time documents, they found hundreds of health and safety issues in just one month.

In October, when overcrowding reached a dangerously high level, UL hospital staff reported 442 incidents or near miss incidents in the area.

These are recorded when health and safety become or may become a problem, and hospital administrators say that it is good practice to record these incidents to solve problems.

Four of the incidents reported by RTÉ Prime Time relate to pensioners over the age of 75 who have spent more than three days on trolleys at the University Hospital of Limerick, and two of them mentioned the risk of developing ulcers. Pressure on the patients as a result.
